Week 9 Term 2

Check out these happy monsters in our classroom and on our Kidzstuff blogs linked on the right hand side bar of this blog. We read the book Monster's Lunch and then made our own monster pictures using oil pastels and dye in the primary colours: red, yellow and blue.We added speech bubbles sharing what our monsters like to eat for their lunch.
When you are next in Room 10 also take a look at our painted self portraits and pepehas. We will be recording our pepehas next week and putting them onto the Kidzstuff blog.
This week we practiced the rather tricky to form letter 'd'.
In maths we worked with our maths buddies to solve a farm yard problem: If there are 8 legs in the field how many dogs and ducks could there be in the field? It was great to see the collaboration and different ways of solving this problem.

We continued our painting focus in art by exploring primary and secondary colours. Check in with next week's blog to see what we create with these colourful circles.
