Week 8 Term 3

Welcome to our Week 8 blog. As you can see we have continued our science focus in Discovery Time and also used our imaginations to make some pretty cool creations from left over scraps of wood. Thanks to Oscar's dad for sending in these inspiring off cuts for us to reuse.

When learning the Tricky Word 'you' we had to remember to use a hanging tail for the letter 'y'.
In No Child Left Inside we continued to practice our skills when playing petanque.
In maths we have continued our focus on 'time' by thinking about days of the week and months of the year and the way they form a continuous cycle.

A special treat this week was a very 'happy' story from Harry's mum..it made us all giggle.....
..and another treat was muffins to celebrate another Room 10 friend turning 6.
Our mini focus for this week was all about Dragons: have a listen to our Dragon poem

Week 7 Term 3

Kia ora and welcome to our update of all the learning that has been going on inside and outside Room 10 over the last 2 weeks.
We had a focus on snowmen last week including writing information reports about snowmen, making snowmen collages and designing our own snowmen scenes on Tuxpaint . Check them all out on your child's own posts on the Kidzstuff blog

In Discovery over the last few weeks we have been planting beans to grow our own beanstalks. I wonder if they have reached up to the castle yet?

Some of our friends from the senior school came to help us enjoy a yummy toast activity....
...and, as you can see, we were mesmerized by the Walking Water experiment!

As usual we enjoyed photographing our own successes during morning rotations..great photos Room 10.

We have celebrated yet more birthdays since our last blog.
Finally take a look at all the energetic fun we have had in a fun assortment of sports activities over the last 2 weeks.
